Every gift from her first birthday is in a bin. Except this one.
(7 reasons it’s the one that stayed)
Number 7 is why I’d buy it again. But start at 1.
1. Everything else got packed away after a couple of weeks.
The plastic went in the bin. The clothes got outgrown. The noisy ones ran out of batteries and nobody replaced them.
This one is hand-sewn felt with her name on the front and ten things to do inside — and it never got packed away.

2. Her name is sewn into the cover. Not printed, not a sticker.
Felt letters, sewn on one at a time, up to ten letters, exactly as you type it.
It’s the difference between a gift with her name on it and a gift that was made for her.
3. Every single page does something.
Not a book she looks at. A book she gets her hands into:
- A carrot that zips
- A bunny that peeks out
- A mirror to find herself
- Owl wings that flap
- A cupcake to stack
- A fairy in a mushroom
- A unicorn mane to pull
- Giraffe teeth to brush
- An apple to thread
- A snail to slide
4. It goes in the car. To dinner. On the plane.
This is the surprise — how much you actually use it.
It lives in the changing bag and comes out in the car, at the restaurant table, on the flight. Anywhere you need her happy and occupied.
5. It’s what she reaches for instead of a screen.
No batteries, no lights, no sound.
Just ten things her hands can work out for herself — and she’ll stay with it far longer than you’d expect at that age.
6. It’s beautiful enough to leave out.
Not something you tidy away before people come over.
Wool-blend felt, hand-stitched, soft colours — it sits on her shelf looking like something you chose on purpose, because you did.
7. Most of her gifts got packed away. This is the one she still reaches for.
“And the one we’ll keep.”
That’s the whole thing, really. I’d get one for every baby I know.
If you’ve read all 7, you already know which gift you’re giving.
What mums said a few months later
This book is the cutest keepsake! My 1 year old loves to play with each page. Especially the toothbrush and teeth page! Very well made and durable.

Really well made and perfect book for moments when we need to be quiet! The personalization is so sweet too!
My daughter is very rough with books (15 months). I love this as she can throw it around and play with it and is not fragile.
Far more interactive than I thought it would be. Even I enjoyed experiencing it with my 6 month old. Can see her enjoying this book for a long time.
Made by hand, so order early.
Every book is stitched to order with her name, which takes time. Our customers say the same thing about it:
It took a little long to receive so order early if you need it fast. Love it! Worth the wait!!!

Good questions, quick answers.
Will her name be spelled exactly right?
You type it in exactly as you want it — any name up to ten letters — and we stitch it exactly as you typed it. Double-check the spelling at checkout, because that’s the version that goes on the cover. If it comes out wrong, we remake it free.
Will it survive a toddler?
It’s built for it — thick felt pages, sewn rather than printed, with the pieces secured to the page they belong to. It’s meant to be handled, chewed on and thrown in a bag.
Is it safe for a one-year-old?
Soft wool-blend felt throughout — no batteries, no hard plastic, no small loose parts. Pieces are secured to the page they belong to, so there’s nothing to lose under the sofa.
How do I keep it clean?
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry. It’s felt, so keep it out of the washing machine.
Will it arrive before the party?
Every book is stitched by hand to order, so order well ahead of the birthday — the earlier the better. You’ll get tracking as soon as it’s on its way. If the party is soon, email us before you order and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can make it.
Very long time to arrive but well worth the wait — it’s so so cute and the recipient loves it.
What if something’s wrong with it?
Email support@littleonepress.com and we’ll repair or remake it, free. Anything faulty is replaced, no argument. Because every book is made by hand with a specific child’s name stitched in, we don’t do standard returns — we put it right instead.
